ABOUT ME

There’s more to me than what I build.

I’m an engineer, creator, lifelong learner, and person of faith. Curiosity pushes me to understand how things work, creativity challenges me to imagine what they could become, and the people and values I care about keep me grounded along the way.

CURIOSITY CREATIVITY FAITH GROWTH

Curiosity has a habit of becoming a project.

I’ve always been drawn to learning by doing. When something catches my interest, I tend to go down the rabbit hole—reading, watching, researching, experimenting, and trying to understand as much of it as I can.

Learning something conceptually is only part of the process for me. I want to put it into practice. Sometimes that means finding an exercise to work through, and other times it means creating an entire project simply because I want somewhere to apply what I’m learning.

That mindset is one of the things that draws me to software engineering. Technology is constantly changing. There will always be another problem to understand, another tool to explore, or another skill worth developing—and I genuinely enjoy that.

HOW I LEARN

Explore deeply. Practice deliberately. Build something. Learn from what didn’t work. Then keep going.

02 / CREATIVITY
MAKING IDEAS TANGIBLE

I like turning “what if?” into something real.

Creativity, to me, is the process of taking an abstract idea and finding a way to bring it into the real world. I enjoy building the foundation first and then refining the details until the result feels intentional, useful, and visually complete.

That mindset shows up in a lot of places in my life. I enjoy imagining stories and games, designing websites, experimenting with visual ideas, getting creative in the kitchen, and looking for approaches that might not be the most obvious solution.

01 IMAGINE

Start with an idea, question, story, problem, or possibility.

02 BUILD

Give the idea structure and turn it into something functional.

03 REFINE

Experiment, adjust, and improve what does not quite work yet.

04 POLISH

Shape the visual details so the finished experience feels complete.

03 / FAITH
THE FOUNDATION BENEATH EVERYTHING

Learning to trust beyond my own strength.

I first came to faith in Jesus as a child. Growing up in the church, I came to know God as my Savior, healer, provider, and the foundation of my faith. At six years old, I was baptized alongside my mom, which remains a special memory for me.

As I grew into adulthood, however, I found myself increasingly relying on my own strength. I tried to control what I could, carried fears on my own, and began placing limits on what I trusted God to handle. Over time, that left me feeling spiritually lost and searching for hope in places that could not truly provide it.

Returning more intentionally to my faith has meant learning to surrender fear, anxiety, perfectionism, and the need for control. I am learning to trust God with every part of my life rather than only the parts I feel comfortable releasing.

My childhood baptism is a memory I treasure. My adult baptism was a decision I made intentionally for myself.

Choosing baptism again as an adult became a public declaration of my faith and my desire to continue growing closer to Christ. My faith shapes the values I try to carry into the rest of my life: kindness, compassion, humility, perseverance, generosity, and the way I treat the people around me.

04 / COMMUNITY
FINDING A CHURCH HOME

Faith grows differently when it is lived in community.

My connection with Buckhead Church began through my partner, who attended there as a child and later returned as an adult. We first began watching services online together before eventually attending in person.

Since then, I have been trying to become more involved rather than simply attending services. That has included participating in Bible study and small groups, meeting other people in the church community, and creating more intentional space for faith in everyday life.

Buckhead Church also became the place where I chose to be baptized again as an adult, making it an important part of this chapter of my walk with Christ.

05 / BEYOND THE SCREEN
LIFE OUTSIDE TECHNOLOGY

Curiosity doesn’t stop when the laptop closes.

I’m naturally a more reserved and private person, but the people, experiences, and interests outside of work are an important part of what keeps me grounded.

FAMILY & FRIENDS

Some of my favorite time is simply time spent with the people closest to me.

TRAVEL

I enjoy seeing new places and hope to experience much more of the world throughout my life.

COOKING

The kitchen is another creative space for me, especially when I can experiment and make something my own.

READING

Reading gives me another way to explore ideas, stories, and topics that catch my curiosity.

GAMES

Video games, card games, board games—I enjoy the challenge, stories, strategy, and time spent playing with others.

TRYING SOMETHING NEW

I enjoy picking up new hobbies and seeing where an unexpected interest might lead.

06 / WHAT GUIDES ME
CHARACTER & VALUES

What I build matters. How I live matters more.

I try to let my values show through how I treat people, how I approach commitments, and how I respond when things do not go according to plan.

FAITH

Keeping my relationship with God at the center of the values and decisions that shape my life.

KINDNESS

Trying to treat people with the compassion, patience, and grace that Jesus demonstrated.

DEPENDABILITY

Being someone people can trust to follow through and take responsibilities seriously.

LOYALTY

Valuing relationships and commitments instead of treating people as temporary or transactional.

GROWTH

Staying willing to learn, improve, reconsider, practice, and become better than I was yesterday.

CARE

I tend to care deeply—sometimes to a fault—but I would rather be someone who genuinely cares than someone who has stopped trying.

07 / LOOKING FORWARD
DREAMS WORTH BUILDING TOWARD

I’m building more than a career. I’m building a life.

I have goals that stretch across different parts of who I am. Some are professional, some deeply personal, and some I expect will continue evolving as I do.

BUILD

Grow into a successful and meaningful career in software engineering while continuing to strengthen my craft.

EXPLORE

Travel the world, experience new places, and continue learning from perspectives beyond my own.

FAMILY

Build a loving family and a meaningful life centered around the relationships that matter most.

FAITH

Continue growing closer to God and becoming more confident in trusting Him with every part of my life.

08 / GIVING
GENEROSITY & SERVICE

Faith should reach beyond what I believe.

One of the ways I try to put my values into practice is through generosity. Through my connection with Buckhead Church, I have personally contributed to giving initiatives and organizations connected with the church and its broader community.

For me, giving is not about recognition. It is about remembering that what we have can become meaningful when it is used to serve somebody beyond ourselves.

Still learning. Still creating. Still becoming.

I’m still learning, still creating, still growing in my faith, and still discovering what some of the dreams ahead will look like. I don’t expect that process to ever really stop—and I think that is part of what makes the journey worthwhile.
